We live in a 12 acre small holding in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the High Weald of East Sussex.
My name is Rosa and I am a stay at home mum. My initial pass time interest was horse riding and after a little while we bought a small flock of sheep to help with managinga our paddocks. Soon they became our pets. It was through my love of knitting that I learnt to spin fleeces and I became a lot more interested in sheep and the fleeces they were producing. I crossed our Dartmoors with a pure bred Lleyns and their fleeces gradually became popular with other knitters, spinners and local artists.
Both the Lleyn and Dartmoor fleeces are long, lustrous, strong, shiny and white/creamy in colour. Our Dartmoor fleeces have 9 inch locks. Our pure bred Lleyns fleeces are also popular and all the garments I have produced from these fleeces have been safely washed in my washine machine. If you go to the fleeces page you will see the some photographs of the fleeces that 2011 lambs produced. The yarn made from these fleeces were blended with local reputable alpaca breeders and are available to purchase on the Yarn Page.
